In the morning when I first drive my Yaris, the transmission won't go to the last gear for the first mile or so, then it works perfect the rest of the day. Is this an issue with the 2009 Yaris Sedan, should I get rid of the car?:mad:

This is covered in about 100 threads (and your owners manual). The Yaris auto tranny prohibits shifting to 4th until the coolant and AT fluid temperatures reach a threshold.

Yep, part of the initial warming up period for the engine/transmission. Nothing to be concerned about.

what if when it warm it up and I had been drive a while. When the vehicle is shift, the rpm just up and shift in gear. Is this will do anything with shift solenoid? I notice there is three shift solenoid attach to the transmission.

Even my old 2004 tundra did the same thing on cold starts. It'll linger onto lower gears for a while longer until it warms up and then it'll go into fourth gear. My wife's 2005 sienna does the same thing.
