Echo 2001 ECU

Hi! this is my first time writing in this forum , I Have yaris echo with the P-420 code fault.
The mechanic told me about the cat change for an original but in my country is to difficult find it or similar (any recomendation) I read about this problem is not present in the yaris (same model year, japan version) because the requeriments of USA and japan cars not required (:cry:)

My other questions is possible change the ecu of toyota yaris to a echo?

The Japanese ones from that year did not have the same engine as your Echo, so the ECM would not be compatible.
