Magnets for the fuel line?

I was searching for information on swimming pool water treatment when magnetic water treatment of pool water popped up. Then, I started reading and they also claim to use these magnets on fuel lines that will improve performance. I think it is a bunch of crap but thought I would throw it out there for all to have a laugh. I provide a link below of some dude that supports this stuff. Anyone ever try this and what was the result? Hope the link works...

Magnetic gas, maybe not... magnetic water, definitely yes. :smile:

We've had a large magnet on the main line of the water system in our home for the 12 years since we built it, and have zero encrustation anywhere on the plumbing fixtures. Not so much as one faucet washer or seal has been replaced. Our cheap Home Depot 6 year warranted water heater is still in perfect condition after 12 years.

Absurd as some of these products claims sound many people fall for such ridiculous gimmicks.
My neighbor bought one of these electronic rust inhibitors several years ago.cost him $300

Reminds me of a device touted for the old carburetors. An aluminum finned contraption that looked like a turbine impeller. It was supposed to spin the air before it entered the carburetor to more completely mix air with the gas.
A friend of mine bought and installed one. It lasted for a couple of weeks, until one of the blades broke up and was swept into the carburetor. Small aluminum pieces ended up in the cylinders. He had to rebuild the engine.
