Ive been hunting for an 09' yaris S cluster so I would have an integrated tach for my 2008 Liftback base.... REALLY illusive, SO i did actually mange to find one BUT its for an automatic, and I have a 5 speed.

Has anyone actually done this? Or will the cluster always say P for park, will it show up blank? if it shows up blank im okay with that.

Just wanted to see if anyone has any insight into this situation... kind of a weird question but its LITERALLY the only one I can find in the US OR Canada. And it is from Canada I believe.

thanks!!

i switched out my cluster gauge and it is all plug and play. i have the stock gauge that only showed the mph and now i have the one with the tach. all of them are plug and play.

The ECM sends the message to tell it what gear to indicate, so no gear will be shown with a MT ECM.

If you purchased one from Canada, the primary speedometer display will be in kmh, and the odometer will show kms.

I scored one from a 2010 that was a drop-in replacement for my '09. You can see where the manual would show the gear position, but as CTScott said, no signal from the transmission ECU (manuals don't even have one) means no numbers.

Try looking at car-part.com for a '10 HB speedometer: there are 5 listed as of this posting, between $130 and $170.

awesome! Thank you guys, I have one on lock for $140 I hope. But It makes me feel much better knowing that its basically going to plug in and i wont have to futz with the MT vs AT.

Much appreciated!!

I can actually do the odometer reprogramming.
