Happened to me about a rubber front spoiler (which I got from HD, not eBay). I contacted the seller to tell them to either take down my altered picture (they removed my watermark) without permission to alter or use, or pay me royalties for making money off my picture. They took my picture down within 30 minutes. LOL

Exactly!!
Demand payment.
Tell them the photo is your intellectual property.

I had a online store do that with a photoshopped picture of my car. I had a fake CF hood I made in photoshop, and they were selling OEM hoods. I emailed them telling them that it was my picture and that it was photoshopped, showing the original and the 'shopped version and told them it probably wasn't a good idea to use a fake picture, and I demanded that they remove the picture or pay me.

They replaced the picture.

How hard is it to take your freaking cell phone out of your pocket and take a picture of something!? The laziness of some people, I freaking swear.

I agree. IMO, these are the same type of people who have the attitude Kar98 writes about in post #10 of Gogogordy's 'A car of interest' thread.

YarisSedan , is your car outside your home ? . Years ago the other 1/2 had her car stolen while delivering a pizza . She left it running for a few minutes and poof it was gone  . Found it a few blocks away .

I sent him a email stating that he posted a picture without my permission. However if he would like to send me a sample of his spoiler i would gladly install it on my vehicle and take a few pictures that he would have my permission to use. =).

The clearcoat has been starting to fade on my current one lol.

why?

I don't think it is about laziness. I think it is about good photos are hard to find, and even harder to take.

So people scoop them off the net when they can, especially when they are great simple photos. Every so often they get caught, but mostly they don't.

I love the Who Stole My Picture add on for firefox. It really shows you where some pictures end up.
