In case anyone is interested and doesn't want to hack up their own sunvisor before starting a project :wink: I'm putting up these shots of the inside of a sun visor I bought at the wreckers and cut up for a project.
I'm cutting out a section to put a small LCD screen. The sliding mirror cover is half across here so you can see it, but it doesn't enter the space I've cut out when it's closed.

This is shot into the space behind the mirror, you can see the slide rails and the plastic structure of the inside of the visor. The white plastic is about 2mm thick and keeps its shape really well even when cut.
