Hello,
It appears a hole has worn in my carpet, next to the clutch. Does anyone know of any floor mats that would cover this part of the carpet? Preferably all weather.
Thanks,
Starrbri

I have Weathertech mats in my blue Yaris and Lloyd mats in my red one. Both would cover that area.

The carpet is pretty thin. I think a couple good slips of the foot will start a tear, which will eventually become a hole. I know mine is starting to widen :(

My weathertechs cover there, but not where I rest my foot. I am planning on making an aluminum plate to go over it.

I bought Garms complete carpet for that exact reason, except mine is much much worse than the OP's.

I guess with 400,000+ :eyebulge: miles you really need some carpet protection.

Part of his cluster stopped working after that and he replaced it (so different odometer). He has over 530,000 miles now.

Can wear through quickly with the wrong shoe. My factory mats were fine until I bought some hiking boots last year. I quickly wore through the driver side mat. I took the mat out completely and realized that the mat had kept the clutch from working as smoothly as it could have for over 200,000 miles.

I wonder if you can get a piece of carpet that matches the color from a carpet store and glue it in place over. Something that's more heavy duty and blends well.

Mine is wearing too. Someday I plan on going to Pull-a-part and looking for a dead pedal from some other car to go there.
My old echo had one.

I have that exact same hole in my used yaris I just bought. Let me know if the mat you picked does a good job of covering the area! :) Pic please? Thanks!

Maybe something similar to this.
It needs to wrap around the corner where the wear happens.

Thats why i said similar, could try getting a aluminum plate that's thin so easily to manipulate and have it bend slightly over that area. Something that you could cut with tin snips and grind down with a dremel so it looks almost like it was supose to be there. That way it would be a permennt fix. Could even get it engraved afterwards for a personal touch.
how about stripping the entire carpet out and buying those cool weathertech mats? I still need to do that.

If you have an 07, how's your car running? Have you had any issues with it?
