Hi,

My Yaris 2008 is using rim 15" and tire 185/60R15 and use this size since I bought it. I am traveling now to the places with roads in some bad conditions and feels like rim 15" is not a good idea.

I will like to know if possible to change rim to 13" with tire 175/70R13 or 14" with tire 185/65R14.

Can you please let me know if possible to use those sizes of rim/tire? Thanks a lot for your help!

P.D. Some people told me put a rim and tire 13" and check if brake discs and brake structure don't make contact with the rim, if not I can use it, but I prefer ask to other Yaris owners.

why?

Are you on the stock rims?

You can get 14" wheels to fit and some 13" wheels will fit, but you'd need to be extra sure they would fit and you had all the numbers right before you buy them.

I have 14"s and they fit with maybe a quarter inch clearance to the brake calipers.

I have 14" rims from a 1993 Mazda Protege that just barely clear the calipers, wrapped in 175/70R14 snow tires. I know that many of the race-built Yarii here use 13" wheels, but they're 9 or 10 inches wide with racing slicks. There are also Yarii that come stock with 14" wheels, but I don't know about their availability in Central America.

Don't do it! The car will look like a Tata Nano or a roller skate
