Any ideas for replacing the too short ,between the seats,storage console? I like resting my right arm on a console but not with the 2009 yaris.

There's a storage console? Oh, you mean the cup and iPhone holder.

:smile: iPhone can certainly be placed in it (to help protect the phone), but that cut out in the USDM 2nd Gen is the exact size of a CD case (multiple cases in width). I bought my 07 Yaris new in October of 2006. The first generation iPhone didn't come out until mid-2007 :smile:

Looking at an overhead picture of a 3rd Gen console on CarandDriver.com, I wonder if the holder on the driver side of the cup holder is designed specifically to hold an iPhone (or just the largest range of smart phones in a snug manner) ?

Where can we get some consoles with cup holders/iphone. I have a single cup holder on the back of my console in the sedan. Normally put wipes there. Can't believe that you get a four seater with the ability of three cups. Lol.

I got it---just strap a piece of 2x6 to the lid,extened it out @6-8 inches,cover it with some foam rubber and shag rug and there we be--a console I can rest my arm on!!!!! Thanks for the help everyone

LOL. For some reason, your illustration brought to mind the long metal track in the mini cooper that allows for different things to be affixed to that base.

OK, I looked again. There are none in the rear.

There are two side pockets in the rear of the hatch, but I wouldn't try to fit any bottles larger than a flask in them.
