I just made mine look more manly. I get alot of people asking me, "what kinda car is that?" When i say its a yaris, normal response is 'wow'
Although when I am in a conversation and say I drive a yaris, and they haven't seen it, they laugh and poke fun. At least I am comfortable with my sexuality to claim it.

I hang the electric cord for my block heater out the engine compartment lid. :bonk:
Hot women come up to me and say "Is that an electric car?" :iono:
Then I hit on them like crazy! :headbang:

A friend of mine teased me relentlessly after I bought my first one for it being a girls car, then shortly after I get the 2013 I get a phone call from him and it starts like this "Ok so you're never going to let me live this down, and you're going to call me a fag, but.....I'm buying a yaris" He now owns a 2008 5 door! A WINRAR IS ME

I see the guys driving around in their big pickups and think they must have penis envy to try to use a car to represent their masculinity. A car is a tool. You use it for a reason. Yaris is a smart choice for people who don't have to haul tools or freight. It gets one person around town or between towns in a very efficient and cost effective manner. If our government were as smart about spending money as we are about using a Yaris, we wouldn't the problems our country has.

Yeah it always cracks me up when i pass a huge extended cab truck that has a huge lift kit with giant rims and tires and just one person is driving it probably getting 6 miles to the gallon.

...about what people think. I should have got a car like this a long time ago...water under the bridge. The time is now, I love it. I have owned many cars over the years, many of them were small, last was a 2003 Trailblazer as I never had a bigger truck-like vehicle, so been there, done that. Most people don't even know what a Yaris is...just tell 'em it was a GIFT...and yeah, it's really fun to drive, and it gets around 60 miles to the gallon...THAT'LL shut 'em up I'm sure... :bellyroll:

I'll tell ya, driving my Yaris around the past 2 weeks I have REALLY noticed all the huge gas-guzzling trucks around here. Driving the Trailblazer the past 2 1/2 years, I took notice of all the similar vehicles, but now they really stick out. NEVER again, I'm going for high-mileage now - it has really changed the way I feel about getting around my foothills home turf.

as a "girls car". Seriously, anyone who says that suffers from "size issues" and I'm not referring to issues having to do with the size of cars.
Oh, when Im not driving my Yaris, I'm riding my Vespa. And I don't mean just to Starbucks. I ride it to Death Valley, Arizona, Nevada, etc. Now THAT'S manly!
My car is a girl and I ride her hard all day long.

No, they don't since I'm the only guy at my work who can drive a 40' truck and hit anything!
Then I tell them that I as as much fuel in a year as they do in 4 months and they are amazed. All the fuel I've bought this year would fill an F-350 once.

Then you showed them your gas bill and dropped the mic.....:thumbup:
The Yaris is a car girls absolutely love. It is great being a single guy driving one, it is a magnet for females.
And anyone that tries to make fun, well, yea, I get 32 mpg driving 250 miles a month. My best tank was 47mpg, followed by a 45 mpg, the last time I had to commute.
That will drop anyone's jaw.

. Do you mean current GM lineup overall, or is GM using the Pontiac nameplate in Canada? It ceased to exist in the U.S.

gm overall. It's all the same to me. Way too much badge engineering going on at that company.

I haven't had not one girl show any interest in me because I drive a Yaris in the 2 1/2 years I've owned mine. What are you guys doing that I'm not? To be honest, I wouldn't have anything to do with a girl that showed interest just because I drive a Yaris. I wouldn't trust a woman who fancies a guy because of the car he drives. A woman as such is not to be trusted. Am I right? You know I am....

The only GM car I can think of that's genuinely a girls car is that new Chevy Spark - ultra-girly car, especially when painted pink.

I think you just don't know what you are talking about.
The two things you mentioned are completely different. Having a girl give you a chance because she likes your car is not having a girl date a guy only because of the car.
A car girls like is a great opening statement. Especially when it gets the girl to speak first.
I've had women of all ages say they like the styling of the Yaris.

why?
I didn't mean my post to be THAT serious. I typed it half jokingly, which I hoped would come through via my tone. Guess not.
In all the cars I've ever owned (which amount to 4), I have never had one, not one, girl come up to me and start a conversation based on her impressions of my car or even say they like my car. That said, when I owned my first car, which was a 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix, 180,000, huge rust bucket, I did get comments from black guys who seemed to love that car.

However, I cannot get my DBF to drive it, because he said it's a girl's car!

This topic is resurrected every 6 months or so it seems. As a point I have had no one give me anything, but props on mine. Of course that helps when it not only looks fast, but is for a lot of folks. I could care less what others think. You make a choice, you live with it, no one else does in this case.

If I stop at the local watering hole in Inkom, it is not uncommon to see nothing but 4x4 pickups there, not even any other cars, much less a girly car. So, it's pretty fun to pull up in the Yaris. I know all the good old boys well enough now, after 35 years living here (though I'll never be a local, wasn't born here....) to not get too much static.
Nothing I like better then when I finally need to fill up, to do it at a pump next to a guy with a full sized high dollar pickup, preferably one obviously being used for personal transportation (clean and shiney, no scratchs, and nothing in the bed, hell, the bed not even scratched) and usually I get out, fill up, and get back in to leave while he's STILL pumping fuel, nuff said!

My last car was a (7th generation) '02 Toyta Celica which I bought new. Some said that was a girl's car, In fact previous generations of the Celica were known as the "secretary car".
I just purchase a car that I like and never purchase one to prove my manhood.
Guys who label a production vehicle a "girl's car" must be questioning their own manhood .

 Serious is a state of mind I completely refuse to admit exists.
But I am surprised at that. I don't even hang out with lots of car people that much, and I find girls that comment about liking my car.

The Yaris is not no girly car. I am not no damn girl. And, even if it was then good, because that would mean the girls would like my car. So, that is a good thing!!!

I keep looking for guys who drive a Yaris.
I want to high five them and start a club.
Instead I see these guys with huge trucks.
I'm like.. Compensation for something lacking?
A real man makes his ride and doesn't need his ride to make him!
