Turbo or supercharger?

I was wondering what would be easier to install the blitz supercharger or Zage turbo kit?

My guess is blitz is like 10 times easier considering it comes with its own fuel controller and you do not have to worry about the tuning, oil lines and piping ))

Installs are more or less comparable. Blitz may come with its own controller, but there is no plug 'n play option, so you are in for some wiring fun.

Damn so 1 for turbo 1 for supercharger, that leaves me in the same spot. Im leaning to the turbo but, in your opinion which would require the least mods im on a tight budget.

Superchargers can be installed in 1 day but count on 2. I've not seen a complete full turbo install done in a weekend.

For a blitz, there are no real mods involved. Splice into the ECU, running a wire into the cabin for fuel controller, mounting the controller somewhere and bolting on the s/c itself is pretty much it. You do have to flip the alternator upside down, and pivot the dipstick 180 degrees, but there really is nothing on the car that needs to be modded to run the kit.

I ran my blitz for a week without the ecu wired up....it was gutless, but it gave me time

realize though that the blitz gives you 117-135 at the wheels whereas the zage can range up to 180whp.

zage takes longer and is a lot more trouble but you get more power.

My auto work experience is very limited, basically only what there is a guide available for. I was able to do the Blitz install in 2 or 3 days. That was only working about 4 hours a day max.

more money + time + complexity but higher power = TC.

if you're after speed, you can go Turbo..but then again in an economy car? i'd rather SC. if it were a civic or a corolla yes i would suggest Turbo.

it is clear, for easy and some power, add S/C
For more difficult but greater rewards, add Turbo

Have you not seen or ridden in a turbo Yaris? Apparently not. I have actually gone head to head with a few Corollas (even boosted) and the lightweight chassis along with go-kart suspension of the Yaris handles them easily with only 6-8psi of boost. As for a Civic, there are so many options that the conversation could turn into a 5k post thread. Don't dilute the OPs original intent :thumbsup:

The question is referencing "easier". The quick answer is obviously SC. Now other posts here have already scratched the surface on a TC install as to how it is more of everything, but it comes at a price financially, time-wise, and possible complexity.

Do I need to upgrade the Injectors to 1ZZ before I install the zage turbo kit or will it run with a complete stock yaris?

With a turbo, even a kit, you'll have to buy all sorts of various fittings and other minor things that can add up to quite a bit. And then there is tuning. The blitz tuning is pretty simple. Tuning on a turbo takes time and practice, or lots of money.
