So I was looking for something to take up the spot in my power port and I found it. Its a small simple volt meter that plugs in and gives you live readings of your alternator charge. Its good too when your parked and the stereo is on you can watch when your voltage drops below 12 volts its time to turn it off soon or the car may not start

That's a cool looking little display, but you can also read the alternator reading output by just putting a Digital meter to the car's battery while at Idle. IMO Unless you have a real cool stereo system where power, amps and voltage is crucial to know at all times I wouldn't use it.

I hard-installed a volt meter in the "usb" cutout on my center console...same idea, just permanent.

Different items helpful to different folks. If you like to listen to even the stock stereo while sitting in your car (and don't want to waste gas) this would help you monitor how long you could comfortably do that.
