Those are really nice looking wheels. I think they'd go well with a black Yaris

I'm super excited about them. Along with everything else. Hey, Yrsdrgn...do you know how much HP gain you got from the Tanabe Concept G? I'm doing exterior first on the LB then goin to the engine.

yrsdrgn

I get 4hp gain from the Tanabe Concept G exhaust. Things really sounded better once i dropped in the Blitz air filter that i got from one of the sponsors here on the forum. Almost sounds like a g35 after it passes 3000 or 4000rpm hehe

4hp isn't all that much. So with the exhaust and Blitz what was the total HP? You say "blitz air filter", so you have the whole intake correct?

I'm goin AEM for sure on the cold air intake. Tanabe for exhaust, not sure about the header yet.

yrsdrgn

Nope just the air filter replacement.....it replaces that black plastic box with a cone type air filter. hehe. I don't have the total hp increase from the intake and exhaust because i dont dyno my car. Reason I know how the exhaust is because of the tanabe people.

Ahh, ok. I gotcha. I've never dynoed my car either. Once I get everything done to it hooked up I probably will. My friend has a shop that he's doin everything for free. Just waitin for parts in the mail as of now.

Mines an auto too actually. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna try and do SOMETHING to the engine ya know? I don't even have my car right now. It sucks. I'm sittin at home with a broken ankle. Got a bunch of car stuff sittin next me I can't even use yet! Goin crazy...

aww that sucks. Well i'm right there with you haha i have a fractured ankle and it's been fractured for a few years.

Really? Sounds like we're both wounded. I just had surgery this morning. I'm still kinda screwy fromt he pills and what not. My ankle is/was fractured in 3 places. So I got 3 screws and a plate. I got a morphine drip hookep up to my ankle though. It's kinda nice.

yrsdrgn
03-23-2007, 01:30 AM
wow. I only have one fracture. So you going with AEM cold air intake for sure?

absenter
03-23-2007, 01:34 AM
Yes, I'm goin with AEM for sure. Have you heard any feedback on AEM or is there a better cold air intake out there? I just trust the name and the product. I'm picky when it comes to stuff like that. I like to get all of the same brand on stuff. Tanabe, AEM, PIAA....

I heard it's alright. I was just curious cuz the air filter and CAI doesn't have much of a difference xcept for the piping reaching all the way down compare to the air filter replacing the stock one.

Do you know if the AEM has a bi-pass filter?

yrsdrgn
03-23-2007, 01:40 AM
Sorry bro but unfortunately I don't. I think there's a thread that has info about the AEM CAI around here somewhere.

Hmm, I'm not too mechanically included so I wonder how much a differnce it would actually make. I plan on painting the intake to macth all my other accents. You think duplicolour would work on the intake?

yrsdrgn
03-23-2007, 01:46 AM
Probably but just to be on the safe side i'd get high heat duplicolor paint hehe

Good idea. I feel like thats soooo far away though. So much Yaris, so little time. I ordered the shit out of everything on ebay. I think it's gonna be pretty slick once it's done.

Cool. I won't be painting my engine components but I did paint my interior a bit.

I was thinkin about painting the engine cover and intake like I said. Was it a bitch to do the interior or what? Not sure if I'm gonna delve into that one just yet. I do wanna change out the bulbs though.

yrsdrgn
03-23-2007, 02:02 AM
It wasn't that hard to paint the interior parts. I posted a DIY in the forums for it. the interior bulbs were alright (the three knob lights that is) but I want to swap all the gauge cluster LEDS to blue and the shifter light to blue.

So did you change out the bulbs on the three nobs? If so, which bulbs did you use? There are so many to choose from.

I'm the same way. I try and research everything that I plan on buying. From quality, to merchant, price. Everything. That's why I picked the brands I have.
