So I really miss the sunroof I had in one of my past cars and have seen universal sunroofs in the past. My question is wether anyone out there has ever put one in, especially in a Yaris. I'm not too worried about cutting the roof as long as it doesn't leak afterwords. Suggestions, thoughts?

It looks like I have all of the answers you're looking for today. A couple of people have installed manual pop-up ones without issue. I installed a Webasto power moonroof in mine in March of 2009 and it has been perfect, with no issues or leaks. Here's the thread on mine:

I found a local webasto dealer that'll do the install of the same one Scott has for 1,090 down to 7xx.00 for a different brand. I didn't want to take up too much of their time on the phone so I'm going to go by and check them out next week.

Nice!
I am getting close to convincing myself to do a full-roof sliding ragtop on Crashy2. I found a place that sells the kits very reasonably ($600 for a 35" Wide x 55" Long).

Nice, never thought they made kits, may just do that instead.

I got a Webasto from a local shop in Northern Virginia installed for $400. It's the big one that goes out over the roof; not lovely on the outside when open, but wonderful open or closed from the inside.
