Guys,, I purchased this used Yaris around 9 months back..I did the computer test and found the following issue which accoriding to mechanic at that time are tiny..

Right Arm
Right Scissors
Front shock absorbers
Engine Mount

Hence I decided to take it to mechanic this weekend, please note that I was not hearing any sound or experiencing any problem meanwhile. The mechanic changed Right Arm and engine mount...Front shock absorbers were fine according to him as there was no leakage.

:help: Now the problem is , one of my front Tyre is more forward than the other. Please see below photos to understand. According to mechanic, the car must have had accident on its right. The denter was not able to fully recover the chassis and hence front right arm was forcefully pulled forward.. After installing the new arm, the problem became obvious.

My Qs:
- How critical is this problem?

are the tires showing signs of un-even wear? This is not good, but maybe something you can live with. I'm sure it could be fixed, but might be not worth the expense, I don't know.

Pretty sure this will affect what is called "Caster angle" which can potentially make the car handle bad or be unpredictable since one side is dramatically different.
It will probably pull to one side or make it difficult to turn right (since it's on the right side.)

That's jacked up. Did the guy you bought it from tell you there was frame damage?

maybe the subframe is just crooked? why not loosen the bolts down there and try to reset it?

@ Amdkt7 : It has been just a day, I couldn't figure out the uneven wear yet.

@47_MasoN_47 : Buying a used car from a USED CAR SHOWROOM with no guarantees and you expect them to tell u everything clean and straight :p

@toyotavios_11 and @mr_miles : I would discuss this sub-frame option with my mechanic, but I believe this must be expensive.

After city driving for few mins at speed approaching 60 km/hr, the car is posing not much problem yet but I have to drive really slow at speed-breakers as tyre touches the mud guard..
