This is a good event for people wanting to get their feet wet, in a non competitive environment.
LOTS of runs (ask Garm, he can tell you how worn out he was! Sorry Garm, was that supposed to be a secret? hehe)
There are two days (sat and sun) - be sure to sign up for the proper day (or both!) - I signed up for Saturday.
Is TEAM YARIS out there somewhere? Yaris Attack?

Bump for attention.
We're doing better than last year, but definitly can use more entries. Saturday is beating Sunday about 2:1, so if you have no preferance, go Sunday.
Remeber all the proceeds are goign to charity. Last year we raised $750 for the CalPolyPomona FSAE team and $1300 for the AbilityFirst charity (providing recreational programs for the developmentally delayed).
Ping all those neighbors and co-workers who see you every month with a sun burn and say "one of these day's I'm going to come join you". It's not going to get any better for a try out.
The Club racers have told me they'll be holding the track tour on Saturday again. I'm not going to make any claims on the entertainment value of this, once it was hyper fast, once it was hyposlow. But if you've never been on the AAA road course, its worth doing. We'll take our lunch break around the track tour, but not really hold up for it.

I could bring the Yaris if I source a trailer. Otherwise, maybe the Roadster?

Should have bought the Highlander instead of the Prius C.
Why do you all of a sudden need to tow it? Drive it to the event.

I'm getting way more usage and fun out of the C than I would an SUV.
It's registered non-op as of two weeks ago, cannot be driven on the street.

Never heard of that! Doesn't say how to get it, or how much it costs (if anything).
I know they don't mean it for driving a racecar to the track, but it's definitely worth looking into.

I don't think they intended your non smog legal turbo, cat removed car to be on the road in the first place. Many years ago I knew a guy in Washington that would get a trip permit a couple of times a year just to bring his track car out and stretch its legs - he didn't want to pay for plates or deal with smog.
We looked into it at one time for one of our project cars, I don't recall it being expensive of difficult to obtain.

i wonder if that's the same form that I used before.
Garm, check with your AAA office as they might have it. I get a certain permit (again, not sure if it's the same one in that link) that allows me to drive an unregistered car for one day (i tell them i need to go to smog station, or mechanic, cuz it's true)
edit: BTW, the AAA people are usually cool about it, and don't fill in a date and allow me to fill it in so I can use that same form more than once, if needed. In other words, its left blank until I get pulled over (better be fast with that pen) so that in case the car doesn't pass smog, I can go back another day to retest, without the need to go visit AAA office again for another form.
