I am at 46k.

How much longer do I have?

Mine lasted about 15k on my third set of tires at 53k but I drive a bit more aggressively than the average driver

Long time ago, I think around 40-42k, but very thin after 38k.

A lot will depend on your driving. I use my Yaris for my commute of 35miles one way, about 70% on mostly uncongested freeways. My first set of tires lasted 60k miles without rotating at all. I probably could have gotten another 5k if I had rotated my tires a few times...

My Factory/OEM set of 4 lasted 71,480 miles.

OEM Goodyears are at 6/32nds after 60k. Rotations every 5k and 37psi all around. 60/40 hwy/city driving

At 43k now, will run these till winter put on snows and that will be it. Get new ones next spring.

So i'm guessing 48k-50k.

2008 yaris - I'm at 75k miles.

Two still look new (people keep asking if I bought them recently) the other two are still looking good at about 80-85%

has to replace the front 2 at 20k and then when the rears were roates to the front they got replaced at 25k. then i got new rims and tires at 45k so yea, not getting longevity out of them.

i tend to take corners with out braking so it tends to ware the tires down a bit, plus my old neighbor hood when i was in service had a 180 degree turn to get into it that i tended to whip around and when i started to slide on the dry pavement i would know it was time for tires, lol

Mine werent the goodyear tires I don't think. They were the other ones they offered in the 07 model year. I got 38k on mine before having to change out because they were just horrid and really got bad at hydroplaning at highway speeds. They were junk.

Bridgestone Turanza EL400 tires on mine.
Never heard of them but I'm going to trade them into Discount Tire for a little bit off a new set.
I don't like Bridgestone anyways to be super honest.
The car could definitely ride better too. I'm only on 256 miles on these.

two of my OEM ones are at probably 60% due to putting them on the white yaris while its new owner learned how to drive manual.....lol. the other two barely look like they've been used. all together I think those 4 tires have 12k on them.

Does anyone know what factory tires came on a 1999 Lexus ES300 ?
Waiting for your idea,.?

I went to Discount Tire today and they told me I need to replace them now. And, I have 45,000 miles on my factory tires. They wouldn't even rotate because the tires had cracks on the side of them. I can get Michelin Defender tires with a 90,000 miles warranty for $573.50 out the door. That is what I am going to buy. The ones on the car now are Good Year Eagle LS tires and they only have a 40,000 miles warranty and they cost a total of $50 more dollars out the door. That doesn't make no sense so I will get the Michelin Defender tires because they will last twice as long and they are cheaper then the ones on there. That makes more sense right!!!

47,000 miles.

3 of the 4 were fine but the front right tire kept deflating to from 32 to 18 every single time I went to get gas. After this happening 4 times, I decided to just replace them all.

They lasted 6 years so it's better to replace now than to deal with a flat, stranded on the side of the road, and have to pay a tow truck.

The cost savings of continuing to drive on 50k+ tires doesn't offset the cost of the tow truck -- am I right?

Depends on if you have AAA or not and, if so, how many times you had to call them in a year.

I really loved the Michelin Defenders on my Kia.
I can't wait until I get a bit more money in so I can get those on Pearl.
They gave me better gas mileage and the ride was definitely improved dramatically. ^.^

I get my tires at Tirerack.com. They have better prices and give you a list of shops in your area along with a set price of installation.

Thanks . It seems as though quite a few people have had problems/issues with those Goodyear Eagles, but they worked well for me. My 'worst' set mileage wise was the next set (from Wal-Mart), but they still lasted 69k miles and were rated to 60k or 65k. The set after the Wal-Mart set were great (Firestone FR710s I got on sale in Carlisle, PA while on a trip). I replaced them at 85,009 miles (and I could have squeezed a few more miles out of them) and those are rated to 65k. I took my Yaris to Firestone to have them put on a new set of FR710s I HAD ORDERED. I walked out to my Yaris after the install and noticed that THE WRONG TIRES WERE ON THE CAR. I walked back inside and pointed this out. The rep said they forgot to order my tires, so they upgraded me to the more expensive Affinity model without charging me more ...without asking me about it beforehand. He said if I don't like them I can always come back within 30 days and they'll put new FR710s on the car. That's what I ended up doing. I drove a bit over 1200 miles on the Affinity model Firestone tires, didn't like them, and returned and had them put new FR710s on the car. I've now got almost 20k miles on those and they look almost new. I've had this newest set in for an included ('Free' 'no extra charge') rotation and balancing and that was completed in a timely and competent manner.

I checked out Discount Tire before replacing the OEM tires, and before getting my current set (just to make certain I wasn't leaving a stone unturned). I was unimpressed re their prices and their staff both times.

I have the factory fitted 185/60R15 84H Dunlop Sport 01 tyres on my Diesel Yaris. When measured only last week there was 5mm tread depth remaining (U.K. legal minimum is 1.6mm but sensible people renew before that!)on all four. I think they were around 8mm when new, so a few miles in them yet. At 16000 miles and they were rotated at 10000 miles.
Run them according to handbook specified pressures at 35psi front and 32psi rear for up two three persons.

I would have loved to been able to buy a Yaris with a diesel engine. Lucky dog!

The thing I like about Discount Tires, Is that if I find a better price, They'll honor it.
They did it with my Michelin Defenders for my Kia.
I got $100 trade in for my other tires I'd got from Firestone, and they gave me another $50 off to match the competitor price.

I know some DT places around here suck but the one I go to seems pretty decent.

That's great that you found a good franchisee . From what I've found around here, the parent company doesn't have proper control over the franchisees. Finding the 'pearl among the swine' that you did would make quite a bit of difference re choosing Discount Tire, or not choosing Discount Tire.

Its totally depends on your driving and road quality if you drive roughly so it will decrease the life of the tires.Average is from 38K to 40K.

As a matter of fact, I just placed an order for new tyres. There are some great deals right now!

My 2006 sedan came on the Japanese made Eagle LS 185/60-15s. Awesome grip, lousy tread life. The first winter was fine. Then I needed snows for the front. They have been off the car for the summers. Now in 2013 w/ 36k miles, they are near the wear bars. Anyone have experience with the US made LS? They are considerably less expensive. Oh yah, did I mention they grip really well?

My 2010 came with Hankook H727 tires in 185/60/15, previous owner never rotated, like I never do either. Well short story long, he got over 90,000 miles out of the front set, replacing them just before I bought the car. The back (original) tires now have 108,000 miles on them and if they don't dry-rot first, I'll probably get another 80-100,000 miles out of them! These are great wearing tire, a little loud on curtain roads, but easily bearable!!

That's been my experience as well. I've been to two Discount Tires and was dissatisfied at both so I don't even think about using them.

Another interesting thing I found out about buying from Tire Rack: I was going to buy a set of tires from Tire Rack but before ordering, I visited the recommended installation location to make sure they could accomodate me. The guy then undercut Tire Rack! Told me he could get the same tires for less. So, I went with that.

Now, when I buy stock sized tires and only need 'adequate' tires, I just buy them at Costco. I have been extremely satisfied with their service. They have never scratched a rim, torque alloys by hand, and they do such a great job of mounting that I lose almost no pressure. I can go 3~4 months without checking my tire pressure and when I do, they are only down 1~2 pounds.

 I thought it might be a local term. Quite a few people in California would have puzzled looks on their faces if one used the term 'feeder road' or 'feeder', but anyone with a Texas DL who has driven anywhere in the Texas Urban Triangle (DFW-Houston-San Antonio) would be familiar with those terms.

'feeder road' or 'feeder'

Possibly a bad example. I meant it re relation to Freeways/Interstates and the only locations I can think of (off the top of my head) in CA are at points along I-80 between Vallejo and Sacramento.

Bridgestone RE92s on our 2011 3-door are shot after 16k miles. They do fine when it's dry (are very loud, though) but are downright dangerous when roads are wet. Lots of ABS and stability control intervention during calm driving by my better half, plus unintentional axle-hopping wheelspin.

People here are happy with the Defenders? I'm waffling between those and the summer version of the Energy Saver, which I presume wouldn't have the wet weather performance.
