Gidday Guys
I have 2003 Toyota Yaris/Echo Hatch.
I have just pulled out the 2nZ 1.3 motor, and about to lower in the
1nz 1.5 motor.
The problem I have is the 1.5 1nz was an automatic, so I have just pulled off the torque convertor and flex plate, I have sat the flywheel on.
The flywheel fits from 2nz to 1nz which is good, but I have no way of aligning the flywheel.
Most people say just mark the flywheel as you remove it, but this engine never had a flywheel.
As some people know the back of the flywheel has 5 holes (that don;t go all the way through) In line with the middle hole is a white spot, this appears to be the thing to use to put it on correctly??
Question 1: Does it matter
Question 2: What do I align it with.
Any help would be great. Thanks
Aftermarket repair books don't seem to mention it.
