I was getting ready to ship a set of fuel injectors, purchased from a wrecked Yaris off eBay, and wanted to test and clean them before shipping. I built a simple test fixture to allow me to open the injector and flow injector cleanser through it, while watching the spray pattern.
The test fixture consists of:
A power supply (capable of supplying 12-14 VDC @ .5A or greater)
A handheld switch, inline with the power feed (to fire the injector)
A Yaris engine harness injector connector
A syringe, with the plunger removed, where the body will fit snugly over the O-ring at the top of the injector.
A clear container with a hole drilled in the top, which the injector bottom fits snugly in, and a second pin hole to allow the pressure from the cleanser to be released

Safety equipment - Safety glasses and a fire extinguisher
