I have just finished a week holiday in the Daytona area. I live around the Toronto area, and the sun was welcomed. What I noticed on the way down I75 to FLA was no YARIS at all. I only saw 1 in two weeks in the daytona area, and any place that sold car stuff looked at me like I was out to lunch. considering that gas is 263 a gallon, I'm amazed that more yari are not around, and boy I was i pissed that I couldn't find shit for my car. What the f...k At least I could get a receiver for my direct tv!!!!

Florida is chock full of senior citizens that are frozen somewhere in between 1950 and 1960 when it comes to things like vehicles and technology. They aren't interested in a vehicle that is shorter than 20 feet or weighs less than 2 tons.

Money flows like water with credit like it is in the USA. IF cars as big as tanks were available to drive with 2 miles per gallon you'd see them on the roads. OH wait. YOu do.

Depends where you are, I live in a populous suburban area, and I see about 5 Yaris every day, 4 hatches, 1 Sedan. Though we do have alot of Imports, Exotics, and large cars. Hummers for the win! . Great to ride in, but horrid for the environment. Anyhow as far as seniors, they all have crown victorias, or Cadillacs, normally the V8 extra gas guzzling beasties. Great for comfort, bad for everything else. Also they don't normally turn, they normally do an L while turning. Aside from a few quibbles, Florida is great. I live in SoFla

I have seen two Yari here in my home town, and gas is over $3.00 a gallon for regular, however, most of the people in my area are upper middle class, with a high population of seniors and rich people that commute the hours drive to the nearby big city...so I see alot of big cars, big trucks, and lots and lots of infinity's,benz',and bmw's.
The only fuel efficient cars in town are those driven by the collage students that putter around town, and most of them are driving souped of hondas or old beater metros.
P.S. the senior population here is the same...they need a car AT LEAST the size of a altima or buick century...and most dont like those V6 powered "small cars"...if it isnt over 4k pounds and gets more than 20mpg, they don't want it.

I just came back from Homestead FLA from an excercise and I saw a few around there, but mostly what was around were Crown Vics, Caddy's and buicks with lift kits riding on 30" rims O_o
