DFCO not kicking in

One of the functions I use is showing LOOP (open/closed) for DFCO. Recently, intermittently DFCO is not kicking in until I turn the key off/on. Then it works for a while until next time.

Can anyone point me in the right direction before I actually make a major effort (Yes, I did search the forum). :smile:

I would clean the MAF and the throttle body. The MAF is monitored by the ECM during DFCO, and the ECM must be able to see the fully closed throttle plate position. If the throttle body has some carbon build-up the plate may not be reaching the fully closed position.
