Hi guys, my Yaris is a 2009 Hatchback. It came with only a standard double din head unit. So I thought I would upgrade to the Tomtom/eclipse unit as I found a decent deal on ebay recently. Now here is my problem. I have connected all the wiring and it works, no problems with functionality. However once installed the unit sticks out more than what I expected, and more than what I see on all other Yaris on here. So here are the pictures to explain.. I'm starting to think this head unit was not designed for my model of Yaris.. Would really appreciate your ideas.

Toyota actually makes a different set of the sheetmetal side brackets, specifically for that radio (when it is part of the TNS400 kit). The part number for the brackets is: PZ415-B0330-60
The difference with the kit brackets is the placement of the holes. You can drill a second set to push the radio in further.

It looks like I do not, but these images from the TNS400 installation manual should help, as they show which screw holes in the AVN2210P are used with the brackets:

If you can wait until this weekend, I'm going to be pulling mine out to wire up the AUX input. I can take a few pictures then.
In addition, I'll see about posting a solution for a DIY version of the AUX105 stereo/MP3 cable since the OEM one doesn't seem to be available anymore.

what I did when I installed mine is just used 2 holes on each side, and modified 1 hole slightly for better alignment.

here you can see the lower hole was modified a little bit to get the bolt to sit right, took like 20 minutes to get it in the right spot
