have my 07 Yaris for 6.5 years, and two weeks ago I pulled the trigger and got the 2013 Abarth, the Yaris still sitting at the drive way, not sure what to do with it at the moment.

Oh oh.. I'm sorry.. I busted out laughing.
It reminds me of a slightly bigger, bubblier, smart car. LOL!

Glad I'm not the only one who left the Yaris after 6 years or so to join the small car club...
Mine's only the sport, but it's still plenty fun for an old phart.

Almost exactly the same as the Yaris. I think the Yar did better on highway but the 500 is better around town. The difference is minor.
SO much easier to park, too, since it is about 11" shorter.

6 years is just broke in! You can get another 6 easy. Looking at the specs, the fiat has some minor upgrades over the yaris, in braking and power. How does it compare to your Blitz's Yaris, as far as power?
Seems like a nice ride, but $22k is a bit much IMO. I drove my sister 500 turbo, and I did like the burnout factor. Hopefully they'll sell enough of the 500's, that parts will be cheap.
I'll take a guess and say you may need some parts over the next 6 years(but hopefully not).

I ain't sure I would do that. My buddy is a FIAT nut from a long way back, and he had more problems than I did with my BMC Minor. Considering that the FIAT is being marketed through Chrysler, that would make me doubly cautious, as our local Chrysler dealer just HATES selling and servicing them!
I suggest keeping the Yaris (if you can afford to) as a backup...

Nice pickup on the Abarth. How do you like it compared to your S/C Yaris?

Not sure how reliable Fiat has become over the past 20 years but there was a time when many of their newly sold vehicles were lemons.

the Yaris is old has lose some compression, and the Abarth is new, the Abarth definitely pulls harder and feeel faster.

If your Yaris had a forced induction, definitely longevity is compromised.
