CarDomain crappers

Not to brag or anything, but my car was one of the top-ranked on cardomain, now some punk(s) made fake accounts just to make dumb comments and bring down the ratings :mad: And I'm not the only one, there's a "yarishater" putting down all sorts of crap in other peoples' comments... I'm guessing it's one of those spammers we had here a couple of days ago, this happened not long after I removed their threads...

Of course they don't have any cars listed under their accounts so there's no direct way to report them... Anyway, just sent CarDomain some feedback about this, let's see what comes of it...

I now have the lowest ranked 2007 on CarDomain. Pretty weak considering I was hoping the page on my intake would help me sell a few of them. Now nobody will ever see it.

Lets fix this guys. I'm going to go through and 5 star every Yarisworld member I find on there today. If you guys could all do the same, then we will get the rankings back up. I'm glad this was brought up. Good call Thomas.

BTW, echo_hrs is sitting down by me... second worst 2007. I know he doesn't give a damn about his CarDomain ranking, but still, look out for him too.

I had someone do the same thing to me with my '89 LeBaron GTC, and I ended up pulling the car off of cardomain. I rated EVERY yaris to 5 stars! Took me a half hour, but it is done. I know I look forward to my "ugly betty" CAI and will proudly post it on my site! my cardomain site is: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2419954

So far this asswipe hasn't flamed me at all. Something you could do to stop them is disable all comments and ratings, but I know that sucks because no one can bring your ratings back up.

I just read through all the Yaris comments n Cardomain, found theres a YarisFUKer on cardomain post a comment on steves page about a deal, but no detail of the deal, and the YarisFUKer sounds like the spammer.

Ah cardomain does have its drawbacks but it's still pretty fun... "healthier" than posing on myspace :biggrin:

Anyway the admin there got back to me so I gave him the list of the punks who've been doing this, and asked if it's in any way possible to erase their votes. There's been definitely more than 4-5 accounts to bring down the ratings so low, so let's see what they can come up with...

P.S. wow, what goes on in your town on wednesday night? Cause where I am from races normally happen friday and saturday nights...most people don't show on weeknights other than to hang out and cruise. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I dont street race anymore, it is too reckless.

No offense to those on it, but I agree with Charles in that cardomain is the single lamest car site ever thought up. It always runs slow, the pics are terribly small, and the layout isn't intuitive for me. Add the fagg spammers, and you've got a winning site...not.

spkrman, like I said before, I was always a die-hard Cardomain hater. All of the stupid riced-out Civics with 5 stars, the trolls, the 15 year old kids dropping lame comments, and the fact that Yaris TTE JWRC with his powder coated steelies sat at number one... I just couldn't take it anymore. If I saw the word "phat" one more time I was going to go postal.

Now I will never spend another half second thinking about that site again, and for that I actually feel, dare I say, smarter.

Despite its shortcomings cardomain is a useful tool as a "blog" of your car, as a repository of modded cars, it's always fun and educational to see what other people do to their cars (and even more fun to laugh at them), and it's just fun to pimp out your car to hundreds of thousands of people :biggrin:

But yeah, seeing this situation, I think it might be time to just get rid of the comments and votes... Removing the account altogether is admitting defeat, woudn't you think?
