I followed the guide on here and bought the led replacement model 7440 for my hatchback reverse light. But upon swapping the bulbs i realized that the bulb ends are different shape, the one found in yaris is circular, where the led has a flat end, so how do in plug in the led?

Thanks

You may want to try a web search.
A few of the bulb manufacturers web sites. Show different bulb for a hatchback or a sedan.
I think you have a sedan bulb. With a wedge base.
The hatchback is a bayonet base.
Sylvania shows a 921 wedge base for the sedan and a 7506 bayonet base for a hatchback.

If memory serves me. One of the sites selling LED replacement said all Yaris models use the wedge based socket.

What I found disheartening was some large bulb manufacturers didn't even have a Yaris in there drop down list for Toyota.

I'm sorry you got the wrong bulbs.

If you read the posts carefully someone in the US got the same problem, the lights being the twist and push type as compared to the wedge-based bulbs; while someone else (also in the US) confirms the info is correct.

The bulbs here in the Philippines is not the same as what's posted. So yes, someone posted the wrong information since apparently it's not the same for all Yaris.
