Any way to add traction control?

I realize some yaris have TRAC built in, and some don't. I am wondering since it's the same ecm, is it possible to add traction control?

The ECM and ABS ECU are different for the ones that have it. If you have ABS, you could add it by replacing those.

Oh.. it sounds it will be too expensive. I do have ABS.

I realized my car has no traction control when I could skid around in a gravel field with the front wheel spinning all over the place :p

Price it on ebay. Plenty of salvage yards selling them (although I didn't look into the cost.)

I would have never thought to ask such a question. Guess I assumed it was an added mechanical feature, so I learned something new about the Yaris today. Doesn't affect me as my '07 does not have ABS.

All US 09s have ABS. Traction control wasn't added until 2010.

That's right - The Yaw rate sensor and steering angle sensor are new pieces as well for the VSC.
