Hi there!
I know this is something pretty easy to do, but I think I'm simply overthinking things so I figured I'll ask for some help before I install things incorrectly.
As you can see in the pictures, one tells me UP with an upward arrow (in the car) and on the filter it says Air Flow with a down arrow. Should I be matching up the arrows to go in the same direction or opposite? :iono::help:
Thanks!
Air should flow from top to bottom in the case. Your filter should be installed with the arrow pointing down

Sorry RedRide - you're wrong (or your blower is wired backwards.)
I just tested it - airflow is clearly from top to bottom. When I pulled my filter, all of the debris is on the TOP.
That bellows, when down, sucks air from the vents on the exterior cowl.

My apologizes. You are correct. I was thinking of a different car ...sorry

Thank you for all the input! I checked out the airflow directionality just in case and it is from top to bottom. My filter is now in and it all makes a lot more sense now!
Thanks again!

The blower fan sucks from below , that means the arrows should point downward.

ok, I went through this two years ago, I bought a puralator cabin filter from a local auto parts store and paid half what the dealer wanted, compaired them and they were exacltly the same. Anyway, it took a piece of toilet paper for me to figure out air flow and the arrows on the puralotor were pointing to airflow, but the toyota filters arrrows were backward. go figure
