View Full Version : Info Request - F & R stock distance from hub center to fender
I just lowered my car but forgot to take "before" measurements.
Can someone with an '07-'08 liftback with unmodified suspension please get these measurements for me? Pretty please?
Muchas gracias.

I've got a '10 Yaris hatch currently unmodified, will get some measurements before I swap suspension tomorrow myself! I gotta find a level spot first, my shop is full of Celica project right now and I can't get in the door!!

See what I mean about the shop and this was before it went up on jack stands and lost all it's suspension......

Hey, found the most level spot I could near my house and took some measurements. Here they are: LF 25 3/8" RF 25 1/2"
LR 25 11/16" RR 25 7/8"
Just to average those out, it would be: 25 7/16" Front
25 25/32" Rear
I took a couple before shots of the car, that I'll post later once I've gotten some after shots also!

I'm assuming that's from fender lip to ground? And if so, what size wheels/ tires is that on?
A simpler way to do it is to measure from fender lip to the exact center of the wheel (center of hub) as it takes the wheel out of the equation. :)

Hey, my car runs 185/60/15 tires on the stock 15"x5.5" wheels. I measured ground to highest point in center of fender lip, just like we do on our racecars. Don't like measuring to center of hubs unless I have the car sitting on static slip plates or an alignment rig!

OK, well that makes sense..
Thanks for the info! Is that with a stock interior as well?

Fully stock interior right now. I took before and after shots of my car today, it still hasn't settled fully, but it did drop just over an inch, which for Auto-X is just what I was looking for!

Fully stock interior right now.
Cool, me too.
Post up those pics soon. I'll be posting mine soon, my M2 ebay springs have about fully settled now I think.

Here are a few pics I took today showing the slight difference before and after, plus a rear view where you can just see the Tokico HP blue shock and red TRD spring....

Clink on link, then click previous picture arrow to see difference in cars ride height, like I said, it's still settling!!

Lookin' good! I see you've got a hitch, what do you use yours for?

The hitch is for my Auto-X tire trailer, used it for the first time this past weekend and it worked great. Here's a picture of it while I was still fine tuning it........

Cool setup! I've got a hitch too, carried all kinds of stuff on my 4x8 trailer with it.
I used to pull the same trailer with my NA Miata. Not sure which car I've gotten more stares in when the trailer is hooked up, they both look pretty out of place pulling anything! haha
