Hi
Basically have a Yaris 09 TR with the standard ICE (i.e. no bluetooth) I'm just wondering if it's worth replacing the head unit or is there an easier way to enable bluetooth?
Thanks!

Not sure if there is a bluetooth kit available for your model radio? If there is chances are the the kit is going to cost you nearly the same as a new head unit.
Bluetooth headunits can be picked up for under $150. I bought a Pioneer MVH-355BT (http://www.pioneernz.co.nz/nz/products/22/121/61/MVH-355BT/page.html). I think its the exact same as the PIONEER MVH 350BT (http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/22/121/61/MVH-350BT/page.html) sold in the UK. It features hands-free calling as well as Bluetooth streaming.
Your only hurdle may be getting a dash kit. Post a pic of your current radio. Otjherwise Im sure Scott can help? Im guessing its pretty similar to the one here:??

It is indeed that style.
I've seen 'official' kits on eBay but they are £270. I was hoping there is something you'd just plug into the aux on the back and job done but guess that would be too simple!

What about trying out one of these?
GRIFFIN HandsFree BlueTrip Bluetooth w/Aux In 4 iPhone & Smartphones (http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Technology-BlueTrip-iPhone-Smartphones/dp/B004KPLS7K)
or
Belkin A2DP Bluetooth AirCast (http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F4U037)
There are also a bunch of other variants on ebay.

I had that one. It's really a great idea and it does work, but it's a crutch. Sounds are very quiet and if you turn the volume on the head unit up there's an echo-y howl and hiss from the speakers and it really doesn't eliminate much in the way of cabling either.
I went for a BT-enabled head unit.

I did a DIY install of an ONSTAR mirror which has an excellent Bluetooth function. I got it on Amazon for $50...I have since heard the price dropped. You don't need to subscribe to the ONSTAR service if you don't want that and the Bluetooth will still work fine. I'll post the link to my install here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Fzksq80Emk
