So I've been using some Pioneer 6.5 coax door speakers for about 6 months.
They sound ok at low volumes but pretty harsh up loud, but for the money($90.) there's not much out there thats any better. What the Pioneers do really well is Bass, and lots of it.
The rock hard very harsh midrange was just killing me, so I started looking for something a bit better. What I was after was a smooth midrange.
I found it! Morel Dotech Ovation 6:smile: Very smooth and very natural sounding.
Very Good bass, but a tad bit sparkly on the top, but the midrange is done just right:thumbsup:
I'm running a Boston GT-42, and it sounds smooth and punchy.
Anyway, the Morel's cost me $300. off ebay, and I highly recommend them!
If anyone needs a low cost good speakers that plays loud off the head unit, I'll ship you a pair of these for $60. There in 100% working cond.
