Need some advice. I have the Yaris base sedan with Manual Transmission, and was looking to trade it in for a Yaris S with more options , I want a Auto Transmission and the power pkg, because it has abs brakes , power everything, alloys, and things my current car does not have.

I owe 2000 more than my trade-in value but I have the money to cover that.

Is it a good idea to do this now to get what I want or should I suck it up and keep the car I have now?:help:

It is always a stupid idea to do a trade at the dealer...you will get shit for your trade in....sell it yourself first, and get the most $$$.....learn delayed gratification.

Yep your right it is a dumb idea.

But if you want to go ahead with it, then do this and only this.
Go sell the car yourself and dont trade it in.
You get more then the dealer will offer you.
If your going to be dumb, then be dumb when you brought the car in the first place, dont make the same mistake when you trade it in.
Everyone is dumb at one point, dont be dumb twice in the row in a short period of time.

Ya you guys are right I'm just gonna keep it.

By the way the Toyota Dealership offered a trade of 11,500, which is a 2000 dollar difference from what I owe.

Thanks for putting sense into me I should've made a better decision before I bought the car in the first place.

$11,500 is actually more than I figured they would give you. What is the mileage on the car? Still, you've made a good decision in keeping it.

Though you should be able to sell the Car, for 12,000 OBO, with no tax etc, if it has very low millage. I would keep the current car, but if you must have the S. Sell it asap.

Basic rule - if you have to ask if it is a dumb idea - it usually is....
