My yaris runs great but, when it idles standing still the RPM is dancing slightly. You can feel the RPM going up and down in the seats. Its annoying. Anyone else have this problem. I think I will take it to the dealer this week for a computer reading.

it has to do with the whole drive by wire deal or so I was told. A small kink in the ETB I'd imagine. This is also not helped by the Yaris's lower then normal idle. Mine usually idles at about 4-500 rpms which is really low. I wouldn't say anything is wrong with your car, they may be able to adjust like an idle air valve or something along those line, but I have it to, and I'm not worried about it.

I understand. I will make a appointment with the local dealer and have them investigate the problem. I'm not worried about the idle but It would be nice if they improved the problem. I will post a tread next week.

same here... from what I hear the NST crank pulley solves a lot of this problem... and when NST comes out with the full line of pulleys for our car I am sure she will run smooth as silk

yeah, my yaris does it too...runs nice and smooth untill every so often when it goes from a smooth idle at 700-800 rpm and then drops to 400 rpm...sounds like the car is dying and the whole car shudders...very annoying...I am hoping toyota does a recall on it...

The VVTi just lowers the RPMs for economy and to pass the law restrictions as far as emissions are concerned.
