Headlights not working !! HELP

Hey guys new to the forum :) so I have a 2000 toyota vitz and has been great but just recently the headlights have stopped working.

The parking lights still work (first click) but when I switch to normal beam (second click) nothing happens just the parking lights still on. Even when I flick the high beam on still nothing. The high beams only come on when I hold the high beam on but not when flick it on. I've already changed bulbs and still the same problem. Checked the headlight fuses in the engine bay and they are ok.
I assume that's the only fuses I need to check?


Does anyone know whats going on?? Help needed please! :help:

Since the high beam does come on when you hold the stalk in the flash position, I would actually suspect the stalk as the problem. You can try jumping (on the headlight stalk connector) the black/white wire in pin 8 to the white/black wire in pin 11 to see if the low beams light up. If they do, then you definitely need a new switch.
