Hey guys,
I have a classic car project i am working on and am need of a 6 speed diesel or possibly petrol, toyota IQ gearbox. Anyone in europe willing to help me hunt one down? I would prefer the diesel model gearbox but I have found this to be a difficult one to hunt down. So if i have to go down the road of getting a petrol version, I can some how get someone in UK to get me the guts out of a 6 spd yaris box : P
Why the toyota iq gearbox? The axles sit in front of the engine. The car i have has the engine in the rear.
I have been looking for 7 weeks and have had no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
thank you!!!

I guess no luck across the pond, keep trying.

Do you realize how expensive shipping would be?

Plus, given how relatively new the iQ is, I don't expect there'd be a lot of transmissions laying around.

Still, good luck!

The IQ has been around in Europe since 09, and there are loads of them on the road there. If you look at the European ebay sites you will see quite a few IQ transmissions, but the five speed is much more common than the six speed, since only the diesel got the 6 speed MT.

Here's a link that was sent to me which is a place in Sweden that deals in parts from wrecked cars. They list 4 six speed IQ MTs, but they are in the $1900 US price range.
