View Full Version : 2013 LE bluetooth problem
I cannot get the voice command for my phone to work on my 2012 LE factory Pioneer made stereo it will not work with 2 bluetooth phones I have tried. I currently have an LG 840 phone. Toyota tech says its the phone but this is the 2 Bluetooth phone I have tried. Anyone else had problems with Voice commands and the Toyota Bluetooth Stereo?

Are you experiencing issues like the one reported in this (http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45276) thread?
It seems that the USDM Yaris don't have voice prompt enabled - you can only "talk" via the car's bluetooth microphone/speakers if the call is initiated through the phone's dialer OR you are receiving an incoming call that you answer using the radio buttons.
Very stupid and cheap in my opinion.

I am having problems with my '13 LE's bluetooth just cutting out all of a sudden and me having to press ok on my phone just to continue the conversation through the phone. Cannot figure out how to make voice command work either, even though it says it right on the radio..."voice command". Dealer did not know either.....They only seem to understand the "entune" of bigger Toyota models and not the Yaris' supposedly easier to use unit.
Seems like the dealers want nothing to do with this problem, looks like Toyota would supply a voice command Bluetooth system that would work as advertised.

Any chance you could tell me what android version you all are using?
I have a 2014 and wife has a 2012. I have jellybean 4.3.1 and she has icecream 4.0.3. I am able to use voice recognition on both cars with my phone, not hers.
I have a LG 840 phone and it will not work with voice recognition

Using 4.1.1 on both of our One Xs.

That's probably it right there. Early version of jelly bean versus newest, if I had to guess....

Yep I just discovered this myself. Was trying to test it and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. After all it says "Voice Command" right on the head unit and there is a "Voice Recognition" menu as well, but it seems the feature isn't actually implemented on our radios. It really doesn't matter to me anyway, I find voice command systems are often more trouble than they’re worth.
