Hi guys. This week I noticed a new noise coming from the car. It is rattle-sounding noise from about 1500-2500 or so RPM. (Above that, the noise from the engine might be masking it). It is hard to hear, but definitely there and noticeable with radio off, so, annoying...
It resembles a bad heater fan when they start rattling and making that "chirping" noise that is not consistent. It increases in frequency with engine RPM, but as soon as I put the clutch in, it goes away, and I don't notice it if I rev the engine in neutral to the affected RPM, so I think it is clutch related. I happens on down-shifting too, where the engine is not really "under-load".
Thoughts??
