1.0 exhaust branch v cat...lambda problems

Hi people. I have a 1.0 2nd gen yaris with the 1kr-fe engine. The cat is apparently shot and should be replaced however i thought shouldn't replacing it with a branch be better. However there are two lambda sensors i need to get through, one is at the top of the cat and the other below the cat. Is there any way to bypass these sensors in order for me to the branch and not get an engine warning light/any warning light for that matter?
