I know some people like to see test results so here is my first one. I am trying to get an idea of what sort of interval I should be doing my oil to suit my driving. I've always done my oil at 5000km on my cars because I usually hear the valvetrain get louder at around 4500km. Used to be pretty mean to my cars. Other than autocross, the Yaris gets driven pretty easy (powertrain wise anyhow...). I have ~70min of autoX on that oil, and ~200min on the engine. That oil also had 1/2 can of MOA which I am happy to see actually contains what it is supposed to (moly, boron, etc).

Currently have synthetic in it only because I can get it for the same price as dino oil. I've never used synthetic in my cars because they were either junk, or powerful enough to break stuff (not wear it out :þ ). Planning the Yaris being around for a lot of years so may as well look after it.

Cheers.

Not bad , considering the auto crosses . Low iron is good , ours has been higher . Thanks for posting .

Good analysis to see. I suppose that I should do the same with mine after land speed weekends since that keeps me at over 6rpm for the bulk of each 1.5 mile run.
