i had thinking about that , but it's hard to get in and out of LAMB door, but it's look really cool thought. 800 is not bad at all.

Dont forget the "CLAM SHELL" style hatch! It would be best with the 3 door (considering it has big-ass doors and its hard to get out of tight parking lots!)

I cant wait to see it done!!!

While on the topic, why not convert the hatch to be hinged on the side?

Maybe not "rice" so to speak.. but kinda gay IMO, as most that do them, roll on stock suspension, stock wheels, stock everything.. but think the "Lambo doors" they have are the shit.

To each his own though.. it's not MY money after all. Roll Ghetto Fab.

$800 sounds a bit too little, one of my friend had an avalanche (yes i know the doors are 10x heavier than the yaris doors) but he bought some entry level hinges and when he would go on the highway and hit about 70mph the doors would shake, of course his car looked sick when it was stopped and both doors were up but....idk if you would want that....get some real good hinges if ur gonna go lambo. Also, it isnt gonna help ur resale value.

There are a lot of things I like that are "ricey," so take the comments with a grain of salt. The difference with Lambo doors is that they add weight to your car. I'm not talking 2 pounds like power windows or door locks... its a substantial amount of weight, especially to a 2300 pound hatchback.

Lambo doors will only look good on a 3 door hatch. Well thats my thaughts away. It will just look weird if it was on a 5 door hatch or sedan.

thanks toyota-belta for givin everyone an idea on how lambo doors will look on a sedan. Though those wheels doesnt compliment the sedan.

If you do it on a 4 door, the rear two need to be suicide. There was a celica at the dealer with lambo doors and it looked really awkward to get in and out of

it is a bit awkward to get out of. you have to push out a bit then upwards after..it's crazy if you have bucket seats in the car.

Lambo door kits open "LAMBO" and "REGULAR"... so dont think for a second it looses the regular feature as soon as you install them. I speak of good kits here(LSD, Vertical Doors, AutoLoc), not the crap $299 eBay bullshit.

i'm not talking bad about lambo doors. i personally like them but what i dont like is the hassle of opening and closing the doors after installation.

Have you ever had one of those hinge kits in your hands compared to a pare of standard hinges it replaces? You are lookin at maybe a 10lbs increase total on the car

been there, done that on the suicide doors, on my trucks, lookin for somethin new.

I am not saying I want Lambo's now, it will be something for down the road, after I have more things done... but the Lambo doors would be just one more thing to put you ahead at a show

Most will have these at a show though. How about gull wing style? that would be sick. I saw a show car where the doors had been engineered to rotate 180 degrees on a pivot point at the very top of the door. Was pretty wicked but crazyily engineered.

Yeah, but how many of them will have them on a Yaris?, Gullwing, naw too inconvient for a daily driver, it I end up getting another ride I might.

for the 3-doors, imagine a sliding door, van style... Don't have to worry about hitting the car next to you, or the ceiling (a certain concern with gullwings and lambo doors). Just an idea!
