Hello Yarisworld,
I have a few electronic issues with my car at the moment, please help!!

1. clock on the dash doesn't work
2. headlight warning noise doesn't work. (when you leave the headlights on, take the keys out of the ignition)

But the most important one, my tail lights don't work. My brake and indicators work but the tail lights don't work. It's quite dangerous driving at night, so need this fixed. I have changed the bulbs and fuses but these don't work.

Not sure which ones are the actual tail lights aswell! any help is greatly appreciated.

Usually this just a fuse, check in the owners manual for where the fuse is at and pull, inspect and replace.

Is your 05 a first or second generation Yaris?

Yes this is a 05 model, this would most likely be the first generation

I've changed the fuses and changed the bulbs.

I suspect I have replaced it with the incorrect bulb. Should the bulb have 1 or 2 filaments?

If the dash clock and warning buzzer do not work, then the bulbs are not your issue. Is anything besides the clock, buzzer and tails not working?

when the headlights are switched on, the gauges do not dimmer aswell now.

Does the heat/AC work?

I fixed the issue.

I had the incorrect light bulb for one of them. My assumption was correct and I needed a bulb with 2 filaments. This must have screwed up the voltages.

Now the taillights work, brakes work and gauge dimmer works. =)
