After four months of waiting it is finally here. I was actually surprise when I receive the call from my sales lady. I'm so busy these days I almost forgot about my 1000.00 deposit.
Although it arrived I've decided to skip the purchase. Since I've been waiting for it I begin using my Elise more and more...now I can't seem to justify purchasing another compact car or any car for that matter. I spend much of my time working and when I get home I'm so exhausted all I want to do is click on the TV and relax, hence I became a religious SportsCenter addict....
What I'm trying to say is I don't have time to have another toy so if anyone is looking to buy a Yaris and is in the Dublin, CA area there's a black pearl with power package and manual trans sitting on the lot as I type....

I hate to say this but I'm not too fond of the all the attention Elise gets. "Just let me drive"!
Seriously...there was a time I wanted to sell the Elise because it's not a practical car to go out and park anywhere and replace it with the yaris. But now I realize I'm wasting too much of my moolah buying anything that I want instead of need...kinda cliche but at least I'm practicing how to save.

How often do you have em? My car was just backed into for the fourth time (unbelievable) and I'm finally getting an insurance check to cover the damage. As soon as I get my car fixed and I'm not embarassed to be seen in it anymore, I'm down!

I was actually seriously considering buying an Elise recently. After the test drive of a low mile 05 I just didn't think I could live with all the rattles, and the amount of attention that it attracts is uncomfortable as well.

I say the Yaris is cheap enough just to use as an about town car. Its not going to depreciate an absurd amount either.

I know I know...a month ago it would of already been in my garage but I just don't it's the right move at this time.

The Elise is a hand built car made for the track, it doesn't really belong on the streets...but that's how they gotta make money. It's not that bad. True it's not for everyone but that's what I love about it. Also it has a Toyota powertrain/drivetrain that's pretty much what I was sold on.

hehehe. i think youre just saying that because it is summer already and youre not feeling the pain. come rainy season and youll get water buildup in your carpets and youll wish you bought the yaris.:) i see that you have an 05. no rattles yet? i also considered an elise but went with an evo after i heard about the leaks and rattles. it corners way much better than the evo though.

just face it. like the lotus, you got the yaris because you want to be different.:) the yaris is more practical as a runabout and to rack up over 100,000 miles without losing too much money.
