lower seat cushions 08 base hatch

Going to make some calls this week to see if it can be done cheeper then replacing the drivers seat. Any idea how much it can be trimed down. I just bought the car after I put my Miata away for the NY winter.

The foam over the springs is thick but soft. I think you could lose 2-3 inches, but to do so comfortably I think you would need to strip it to the springs and then use a thinner layer of a more dense foam.

If you want to experiment, I have a set of lower cushions available.

I had had my mind on XD seats but I have yet to test fit them or find a good price. The most do look much better thou. I added an armrest and added a 3" shift extension but till feel uncomfortable. I think now I can not rest my left arm while driving. My corrola GTS has seats from Japanese seats but I don't think they will swap.

You will have to be careful while trimming it. You will have to remove all the seats leather carefully and then trim it out. Good luck doing that.

Now I am thinking that if i lower the seat it will make the space between my left elbow a the armrest worse.

Also saw a post that said the last gen Celia seats would fit. They may be easier to find then the Xd seats. They may be low but I am used the Miata.
