Hello and happy new year to all.

I have an imported Vitz from Japan. It came with parts of the ERP (Electronic Road Pricing) system still installed, in particular some of the wiring and antennas.

The antennas are adhered on the interior side of the windshield. No use for them here so I want to remove it so I have a nice clear windshield.

I managed to remove the antennas however the sticky residue remained. Its quite sticky (and smelly) . Whats the best way to clean up this residue without damaging the windscreen ?

I've uploaded some pics of the antenna.

Thanks for any advice.

Something like this should do the trick:

I've tried goo gone before, its not very good for strong stuff. works better on weaker stuff like tape residue.

If goo gone isn't strong enough, try WD-40.

Then move up to gasoline or acetone (nail polish remover). Please protect your lungs and ventilate the area if you do that. And understand that those are powerful chemicals that will affect paint, plastic and vinyl. (but not glass)
