Got the Pole on Saturday followed up by the race win in the sprint race on Saturday and the main event on Sunday. Great way to start the season.

A few laps from Saturdays race, not much action, just playing with an STL Mazda RX-7.

Your car runds admirably, that FC driver is using much more agressive angles and wider lines into and through the corners you take much tighter. Something which reminds me of my old beemer, You could literally toss that car from left to right no worries and it'd be how it had to be.
My current car however.......
But have you got a build log anywhere? I'd love to give that a read.

Edit: on second look, it seems the FC is missing a lot of apexes in certain corners..... Inherent of his car?

His rear tires were going off, but he was also going way to deep into the last turn.

There are PDFs from the build back in 2010, but there have been a lot of updates.

I also noticed some issues with the right hand hairpin and the first of the chicane going from the banking to the infield.... Some of which I noticed through the entire run, so how bad were his tires to begin with?

Cool, I'll give them a read! always interesting to see how fellow racecar builders tackled certain issues.

Whao.. that was close. How mad would you have been?

That rx7 is using late apex turns. Different style of driving.

Is this with the new header you got made? if so, how do you like it?

I like to apex late as well, (Depends on the corner really) but that guy sometimes doesn't apex at all.
But as Jason said, it could well be due to dying rubber.

A competitor in another class I drove never apexes either, but that's because he drives the rain lines on dry. I have no idea why but it's very easy to pass him once you get up in his bumper.

The new header works very well.

This rocket ship was also on the track with me, running in Super Touring Under (under 2.0L), he makes a guest appearance in my Sunday race video. Has a ton of power for a 1.6L.

The rear view mirror is a convex unit and that does all the work, the small side mirrors really only show you if there is someone right next to you.

I see. I still got a regular size mirror hanging from my windshield, been thinking of buying a big one but with the two wing mirrors.... But then last race I lost my inside wing mirror at the start.
Not that I needed it much, all I did was overtake.
