I got my wheels already about a month ago, they are Enkei GTC01 17x7 +38mm offset. I will be lowering my car with TRD lowering springs but I am not sure if I should go the safest way and put on 205/40R17 or if I can fit meetier tires and go for the 205/45R17..... any input and pictures will be greatly appreciated :)

205/45 might be a little fat and cause some rubbing. Are you prepared to put a little negative camber on the front or rear, or roll your fenders if needed?

The height of the 205/45/17 is no problem with a TRD drop. But with ET38, you may get some rubbing up front.

Thanks guys!
Kimona: you think that with 205/40's I would still rub with an ET38?
should I leave the suspension at stock height? would this help at all?
Thanks.

I say just lower the car with 40s I would bet they will work fine all depends how low anything from 1 to 1.5 should be fine ...like trd springs .....just see what the over all diameter is of the wheels in comparison to stock and over all width .....just load ur car with few heavy ppl ..lol and get an idea.
