Someone help me out here
So ive been wondering what it toyota etc for awhile. it's to the bottom right of the driver's side. I looked it up and it said electronic throttle control but idk exactly what it is... is something suppose to go in there like a disk or something? :confused:
Recently it started beeping and a light flashes on it but i cant figure out why

Did your car originally come from Japan?
ETC = Electronic Toll Collection (System)
In Japan, it is a quick way to collect toll fees when passing through the toll booth instead of stopping and paying the old-fashion way.
Since you're not in Japan, that thing serves no purpose.

Yea its their road pricing thing. You may have some antennas on your windshield like i did. You can remove this system if you dont intend of moving and take this car with you to Japan

Yea i think it was, most of the cars here are imported from Japan. hmmm still doesnt explain how it randomly started beeping though
