Yes, I did some search not to start another thread but couldn't find my answer... So here it is; I want a slight drop on my 2008 and think the TRD springs would do it without compromising on comfort.
1. Am I right in thinking that way? Is there a better and/or cheaper alternative.
2. With 16 x 7 wheels and 205/50/16, will there be some rubbing?
3. If yes, what is the larger size 15" or 16" wheel combo recommended not to rub?
Thanks
Dan

Proper size would be 195 50 16 as for rub .....offset and width of rim can make or brake a set up u can run lots of diffrent combinations but as a rule u should stick to what is original yaris stock offset is 45 to 50 on se 16 inch rims so if u go 40 ull be fine as for tire find one that is with in 3% of original size.....im running 195 55 15 42 offset and 1.8 inch drop with no problems at all ....trd drop if not mistaken is only .5 front and 1.5 rear .
if ur car is higher milage I recommend new struts with springs.
just my 2 cents on this

original yaris stock offset is 45 to 50 on se 16 inch rims so if u go 40 ull be fine
Sorry, forgot to mention; rims are 40 offset (Konig Feather 16 x 7). 250/50/16 are now mounted on these but they are quite worn out so I have to change them. I was looking to use the same wheels but may I go back to 15 x 6 or 15 x 6.5 wheels to get a more bulging tire

If ur getting new tires for the 16s go with either 195 50 or 205 45 I find that if u go to wide car will wonder ....stock SE 16 rim tire size is 195 50 16 with that size and 40 offset u should be fine no rub when u lower ur yaris.

With 205/50/16 there is some rubber exceeding the rim and you get some protection against wheel scraping on curbs. I wonder what will happen with 195/50/16; is the wheel wider than the tire?

the stretch look...not by much on a 7 inch rim may actually be flash with the rim
