Hi everyone,
Just decided to share some simple addons I've made to the Yaris.
Since moving to Vancouver and having to commute in the crappy traffic to work I have seen people pull some bone headed moves. I decided to get a dash cam recorder to protect myself in case I'm in an accident without witnesses. After watching some YouTube reviews ... And some funny Russian dash can vids I ordered this one. This dash cam turns on and off with the car, always delets s the oldest file first and will lock any video where the shock sensor detects a collision.

Also now I'm on the road a lot more and use my android phone as gps display and all aroind car computer, I decided to add a hands free bluetooth so I can make calls and stream music to the Stock radio. This add on BT only cost $13 shipped and will connect to the aux input. It also gives me a control dial and mic I can fit behind the wheel on my dash.

The last add on I did was because I wanted to do some test and check my error codes (if any) this little device connects to the OBD II port in the car and wirelessly connects to my android phone. At first I thought all I could do was check and clear error codes but through some reading found out I can leave it connection all the time and pair it to my phone to see all sorts of useful data such as engine performance, temp etc. There are some great apps that work with these. Cost was $8 which will more then payiself back by not having to pay the dealer just to tell me what error code I might have. I can also check the realtime performance of the car and its sensors.
I also found out this device also can keep a GPS log of where you have gone as long as its paired to a smart phone while driving

I found these to be nice addons and I hope some of you might find them handy. Hope this is useful as it took me a long time to write on my tablet!
