It fires up but there's a glitch at the end like it wants to cut out but then proceed to crank over and starts. It never did it before either, just recently. It has 124 567 km's on the clock and only 2 visits to the dealer. They only changed the brake pads:laugh: and had the door switch recall notice tended to, where they lubed the switch on my electric window because it wouldn't open.
What could it be?

It could be one or more of quite a few things:
Weak battery
failing ignition coil
fouled spark plugs
dirty injectors
dirty MAF sensor

I vote weak battery. I've have all kinds a strange things happen because of a weak battery.
Put your battery on a charger and try again.

Thanks fellas,
Weird it hasn't done it recently. Maybe i need to push the clutch in hard and keep it down and flip the switch.

I still think it could be a weak battery. I know mine is slowly dying because every time the temps get down to -15°C my door lock star to act up, the engine turns over very slow and hesitates for a second when it catches. But as soon as it warms up its fine again. I just live with it.

I think it's the alternator belt being slightly loose because it occasionally sounds like opening a coke can when I start it. Anyway, I am having a bub (baby) in August.
Will a 3 door Yaris be okay for a baby? my Mrs doesn't drive and I have another small car 4 door Daihatsu charade (project) which i am scared to put my baby in. .
