Hi everyone,

I ran across a good deal for RIMS and TIRES. For the price I really like the rims however when looking at the "wheel and tire gude" on this site, the size of these ties aren't listed. I'm runing stock 175/65r14 on steel rims and wanted to upgrade to alloys. This is a good price point I could do this. My car is a 2009 5 door HB

The size is 205/40r16 so I am wondering from all the gurus on here is that
If I did get them;

1) would they fit?
2) what is the issues I would have?
3) could I later on put 205/45 or 205/50rs on them?
4) what changings would I expect from a wider tire?

Looking forward to learning more through this topic :thumbsup:

Cheers!

Look at post #3 in the Wheel and Tire Guide http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showpost.php?p=74844&postcount=3

You will see that 205/40/16 measures 1/2" shorter than your stock 175/65/14. You will have huge wheel gap and your odo/speedo will be way off.

With the wider tire, you will be running a heavier setup with a larger contact patch. This will result in decreased acceleration and increased fuel consumption. Cornering ability will be greatly enhanced.
